16 of Britain’s best technology startups have arrived in India as part of Web Mission 2013

Over seven days (9th-16th February), split between Bangalore and New Delhi, web mission participants are learning firsthand how to turn their Indian dreams into realities.

London-based participants include Audioboo, uMotif and Zondle. The trip is supported by the Technology Strategy Board and UKTI, and organised by The Long Run Venture and the Co-Sponsorship Agency.

The mission will take the selected startups across Delhi and Bangalore – showcasing what they can offer Indian investors and consumers.

The group have already visited Bangalore’s Electronic City and met with established players Infosys and Wipro as well as emerging startups from the area.

So far they’ve focussed on learning about renewable power and affordable healthcare and in Delhi they’ll explore opportunities in open data and e-governance.

The trip will end on the 16th February and we’ll be hosting a number of guest columns, reflecting back on the experience once the mission returns to London.
