The DoubleDutch events app company, which launched in San Francisco in 2010, is coming to the UK.

The company provides a whitelabeled platform for brands to create their own event apps, plus back-end analytics on the app’s usage. The company hopes to crack what they say is a £5.6bn industry.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of our first UK office,” said Zubin Bhettay, VP International at DoubleDutch. “We see tremendous potential in the UK, which is establishing itself as a technology and commercial hub. We look forward to continued growth in this exciting and important market as our company and UK presence expands.”

To date, DoubleDutch has raised $37.5m from companies including Mithril Capital Management and Index Ventures.

The company is setting up in Mable Arch.
