Preservica, a digital preservation technology specialist, has raised £3m from Mobeus Equity Partners.

Based in Oxfordshire, the firm’s digital preservation software helps organisations to safeguard and future-proof digital information. Organisations already using the software include the likes of BT, HSBC and TfL.

Mike Quinn, CEO of Preservica, commented: “Everyone at Preservica is delighted by the investment and support we’ve received from Mobeus Equity Partners. It is a real validation of the potential of the business and the growing demand for a digital preservation solution that enables organisations to protect the value of their vital digital information.”

The firm plans to use the funding to accelerate the uptake of its digital preservation software, expand its partnering programme and, long term, make digital preservation an automated part of the digital information lifecycle.

Trevor Hope, partner at Mobeus Equity Partners, commented: “Preservica is a unique UK technology company with strong vision and an impressive set of customers. The company has an ambitious plan for growth and a product vision that is transforming the way organisations protect and future-proof digital information.

“This is a disruptive offering, well matched to a vast and growing unmet market need,” he concluded.
