PaaS firm Drie has announced the closure of a £410,000 Seed funding round.

The round was led by a group of undisclosed angel investors with the funds being used to grow the company’s customer base.

Drie allows developers to run software using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and claims to do so without compromising security.

CEO and co-founder Kalbir Sohi commented on the raise: “Drie’s investors have seen the significant disruption that the public cloud has caused in the financial services industry, enabling FinTech startups to move quickly to build responsive customer applications. Using Drie traditional institutions and their Fintech rivals can adopt a faster approach to application deployment while maintaining AWS security best practice.”

He continued: “We see a real need among enterprises assessing their cloud strategies for clear guidance and the tools to reassure them that critical infrastructure and sensitive data will be properly protected in the transition to the cloud. We are confident that by educating enterprises on the risks we will demonstrate our expertise in keeping services secure without the hassle of complex implementations for customers.”

The startup received the funding in two installments: £150,000 in January 2016 and the remaining £260,000 in Q4 of 2016.
