“Coffee, networking and productivity”: Workspace disruptor ‘Lounge’ launches in London

June 22, 2017

22 June 2017 – London: Lounge, the Londoner’s hotdesk, today announces its launch and the opening of co-working spaces in three new Central London venues.

Addressing workspace rising prices and startups’ need for opportunities and connections, Lounge aims to forever change the 9-to-5 experience.

Lounge stands to benefit both business individuals and venue owners. With London rents continuing to rise and average profits hovering around 5-10%, restaurant and coffee shop owners are constantly seeking new ways to make money.

Participating to the Lounge marketplace could bring venue owners another £1,000-3,000 per month – alongside other benefits such as corporate perks (discounts and partnerships), increased customer loyalty and awareness in the business sector.

In addition, startups and young businesses can now access workspace that is cheaper than a daily coffee. For £99 per month, anyone can purchase a hotdesk-type subscription that offers comfort, affordability and opportunity.

Business benefits:
Venue owners now have the chance to boost their businesses’ potential during the day
Organic networking for freelancers and startups: This environment breeds connections and partnerships
Affordable, comfortable and resourceful (for training and events)

The Lounge experience is now available at three Central London locations:
Coin Laundry, 70 Exmouth Market, Clerkenwell, EC1R 4QP
Inamo Covent Garden, 11-14 Hanover Place, Covent Garden, WC2E 9JP
Strong Room Bar & Kitchen, 120-124 Curtain Road, Shoreditch, EC2A 3SQ

Graphic design freelancer and Lounge customer Sergiu Talaba, said: “Lounge is affordable for me, and I have already managed to expand my network with some new contacts. The venues are really cool and all Central, which is very convenient. Much better than working from home.”

Lounge co-founder Matei Rogoz said: “We are a group of recent graduates from all over Europe, who absolutely dread the classic office. We know London is a top tech talent roster and home to millions of startups – this is our market and spiritual home. High-street offices are very expensive and budding entrepreneurs need financial room for more accelerated growth.”

Strongroom owner and Lounge venue partner Dean Finch, said: “Lounge is a solid proposition that introduces us to a young and diverse entrepreneurial community. Strongroom was one of Lounge’s first venues in Shoreditch and is helping drive creative and business development in the area. As such we are happy to continue to support young businesses with a tenacious approach to growing their brand.”

Lounge founder and CEO Klauss Andrei said: “We are unlocking the potential of some beautiful locations around London. The locations are diverse and scattered. Because Lounge is building an associate network, our customers can benefit from a high level of accessibility. Whatever an individual’s preferences or habits, there is likely a location to suit their work style.”

Lounge was launched with private investment from its founding team, plus support from King’s College, MK Business Hub, and young entrepreneurs’ association HHH.

Going forward, the business aims for every large venue in London to have a Lounge of its own. The company is targeting an international market, and wishes to establish itself as the prime co-working space provider in the UK’s capital before rolling out further.

About Lounge:
Lounge is a different hotdesk company based in London, UK. Founded in May 2017 and launched in June, Lounge provides working space subscriptions to the professional community, in partnership with venues around Central London.
